I had used a JV Giveaway event recently to add more subscribers to my mailing list. It was my first event so I was a little green. I added 2 products and it was David Walker’s and Paul Wilson World Cup Giveaway. It was a good event as you did not get downgraded for not promoting the event.
What I had to do was sign up giving an email address and password. You could join the event for free and add one product to the giveaway. Or you could upgrade to a paid contributor and add more gifts and offer a One Time Offer.
Once registered you have a members area where you can add more products if needed, get in touch with the organiser’s for help. See the stats on how your products are doing and see how other contributors are doing.
There is also a section which helps you promote the event giving you pre-written emails and banners to use. How ever you want to promote the event. If you promote the event well and get a lot of people to download products then your products get seen more and they are pushed to the top of the list and you get more exposure. So it is in your best interest to promote the events well.
Now it can be a little overwhelming as there are many products you can download and use yourself. So if you are looking for free content then you really need to know what you are looking for or you will end up downloading just about everything and just get Information Overload.
If you are wanting some help on blogging then just look for blogging products. If it is website creation then just chose website products. There are usually so many different products at each JV Giveaway event, there is always something for everyone.
So how well did this first event that I got involved with do. I gained 5 new subscribers. Some may say that it was a waste of time, but I say that I have got 5 more subscribers than if I had done nothing. It was my first JV Giveaway event and I will get involved with more and become better at registering and of course promoting the events.
I have now listed events that I am involved in and that you can become a contributor too. I will try and keep it updated so if anyone wants to get involved they can. Please click => Contributors Invited

Taking action and seeing results that is what it is all about.
Without the action you would still have a list of zero, well done,
Thanks for the notice about the next JV event.

Action is huge! 5 new subscribers is not bad. You really just have to do different promotion and marketing methods to put yourself out there. Good luck on JT Martin Declaration of Independence Giveaway buddy.

Craig,
Just coming over to continue the conversation and I have to say that I am glad I did.
I am literally nearing the completion of my first ebook to help promote my list and thought that I should definitely get involved in the Giveaways as what I have created is Unique and valuable (I think anyway
Did you promote your own product or did you give away something you have Resell rights to? Do you think this affected your signup rate?
How does one find out about the where and when of Giveaways?
